Words of Wisdom. Advice for Your College Graduate.

Graduation Party

My son has graduated from university and will embark on a European backpacking trip prior to entering the workforce. He’s a long way from that freshman that I dropped off at school. During his college graduation party we asked friends and colleagues to fill out advice cards. Here are some words of wisdom! These words are not my words so I am going to refrain from expanding on their meaning. They are perfect just the way they are written.

Advice for Your College Graduate

“Don’t be afraid to take risks – the only thing you should doubt is your limits!”

“Fully fund your Roth IRA ASAP!”

“Live your OWN Life.”

“Follow your heart after consulting your brain!”

“Don’t be afraid of change. Change brings personal growth.”

“Always keep your sense of humor. It will always see you through!”

“The happiness in your life depends on the quality of your thoughts. Positivity is a choice!”

“Character is what you do – or don’t do when no one else is looking.”

“Life is not always black and white, there is always a gray area and there-in lies the truth.”

I believe the secret to a happy life is that it is about choices! Be careful what course you choose…because that is the road your life will follow…Reflect before you decide….
…..It is easy to choose the wrong road… but very hard to turn back.
